Need help with 2001 Discovery 2.
Vehicle starts in the morning when the engine is cold. Drive it for 5 miles turn it off and it will not restart. Put a new fuel pump in it. Apparently that wasn't their problem. Fuel pump gets power when engine is cold. Once the vehicle is driven for a few miles the fuel pump does not get power. Have power from the ignition to the relay but no power from relay to the pump. Once it sets in the engine cools down. It will start again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you deputy.
it has stopped twice while I was driving down the road. Never made it more than 4 or 5 miles.
I will check the wiring from the relay box to the fuel pump. I read where someone had the same problem and the wire was up against the catalytic converter. Kind of sounds like something like that because it's fine until it gets warm. Thanks again I will try what you said. Will let you know the results.
