Default Need help replacing hood cable.

Hello, I have an OEM replacement hood cable but I cannot find the proper instructions in the D2 Workshop Manual PDF. Can anyone tell me in what section or on what page I can find the installation instructions?

Thanks a ton for the advise!

K

cut the old one in the cab, tape it to the new one and pull it thru. common thing done with cable thru any wall. Picked that trick up from my brother the electrician.

Hey Rovn4life, the new cable comes with a new sheath, so I don;t think this technique will work... or will it? I was hoping that the D2 workshop manual would have one of those 2D routing diagrams?

Michael, my Rover (Defender Specialist) mechanic ordered it for me. There's a label on it "BRITPART". I think he orders his parts from the UK though.

Forgive my "backwardsness" when it comes to all things mechanical but, can I use that technique of taping the cables together and then pulling it through?

as long as there is space you can do it for any cable.
