Default P0501 and p0741

2004 Land Rover Discovery 2 HSE no ace
163000 miles

So
rained through all windows and sunroof for about 4 hours. Stupid.
Toweled it dry

this morning my wife borrowed the car. Came back five minutes later saying something's wrong. I drove it up and down the street and it was accelerating fine, up to about 40 then it would big down. Revs dropping and felt like it was stuck in a low gear and not shifting back down.

Then codes p0501/0741 pop up. Spoke to a friend who said electrical. Currently sitting with a dehumidifier running in it.

Just ordered wheels, tires, shocks, springs, and bumpers for it. I'm really hoping it's a grounding issue with the water and drying it will help.

I'm new to all things mechanical but in the three ish years I've had it I've, with the help of friends and Doug from Atlantic British, have done the following
Breaks: rotors and pads,
Plugs and wires
Exhaust gaskets
Transmission service (fluid and filter using ab kit)
And various other replace this bit after a code stuff.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: dried out great and solved all the problems.
