Hello to anyone with some advice!

I was an idiot and left my sunroof open the other night and it rained. My LR3 runs fine but I faulted the parking brake from the water I’m guessing. The brake itself does not engage anymore and it the parking brake light is constantly on. I pulled the fl8 fuse for the parking brake sense and got the red parking brake light to stop flashing. I’m guessing I damaged the actual parking brake switch since it sits directly under the sunroof and the wiring to it potentially. Really hoping I don’t have to do a full parking brake module swap and tear everything apart. Any recommendations and or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
