Smile Parts order from england

Does anyone have any experience on ordering parts from a store in England.
I am worried about the US import duties.

Thanks

I was doing alot of searching via the net and I came up with alot of cheap prices in England quoted both in pounds and euros
I'm assuming it would be relatively straight forward as they sell alot of parts on Ebay that are listed in the UK
You can, in fact, search parts in the UK by narrowing your search parameters
I'm guessing, Land Rovers are fairly common throughout Europe, so they don't jack up the price like they do on this side of the pond
I've found also that, pleasantly, there are some very legitimate vendors stateside
I did an order with www.atlanticbritish.com and was very pleased
I ordered some parts today for an exhaust manifold to pipe gasket for less than 8 bucks
With any kind of reasonable shipping, it's hard to beat that price
My local partshouse has to special order ANY parts ANY way
I would think, hopefully, that the vendor above, whom I have no association with, would match ANY legitimate price on ANY part
Obviously, you get your good deals here and there, but for me, I'm looking for an everyday parts source when I build vehicles

Don't get me wrong, everyone likes to save a buck, but sometimes you spend more when you're trying to save

I have ordered from RPi in the UK and sent my ECU to the UK for Chipping.
The parts are taxed, in my case but it was not much.
I ordered a cam , timing chain and lifter kit.

The ECU was another thing the cost made it something that when it was coming back to the USA Home Land Security wanted to have a look at it so that held it up a extra week and the cost was about two hundred USD import fee.

Thanks for the reply,

I totally agree with you. For my regular maintenance parts, I can find pretty good prices shopping locally, Atlantic British and others, even for used parts.
I was looking at wheel spacers for my disco, I found some at paddock spares for $ 205, hard to find the same thing for the same price here.
Same thing for the off road equipment, diff guards, steering guard, bumper, etc. It's hard to believe that we can't find anything more competitive here.

Anyway, I am still shopping around.

Thanks
