Default Parts Required

Hi,

I have an issue with a Land Rover 4 ltr petrol engine alas fitted in a 2001 Morgan!!

I have 2 questions (I hope you members don't mind), the engine appears to be a North American spec.
I need to locate an inline fuel filter metal casing with pipes at either end the number on the one I have is WJN 101250.
Also a purge valve this is black plastic with 2 pipes at 90 degrees to each other and has an electrical solenoid, and I cannot find any part number on this.
I am having problems sourcing these 2 items.
I also run a series 1 Land Rover hope this puts me in a better light.

Thanks for your time,
Graham

Those are not Rover parts, Morgan specific parts only. Have you searched out any Morgan parts supplier in the UK?

I replaced the fuel filter on my 97 with a 4 liter, but it is mounted near the tank, under the rear wheel arch. Just a simple "axial" filter, should be many types that will do in your new mount location. Once it is done, do a pressure test on the fuel injection rail shrader valve, expect about 32 - 34 psi with pump running and fuel pressure regulator working.

I also replaced my evaporative cannister purge valve, which meets your description. There are tiny letters on the unit that say "Germany" , 002 93-080, and some sort of logo that seems to have the letters CPW, CFW, OPW, or OFW - can't be 100% sure. Got mine at a salveage yard, might be a dealer item.

Thanks for the replies.

Mike I had tried Morgan first but no joy, the filter is Bosch (now ordered), but the purge valve is unknown.

Buzz thanks for info, both items are on the bulkhead, another source has confirmed that the purge valve could be found via salvage.

As the manufacturer is unknown, and you mentioned Germany on you one, I might pursue this with Bosch also.

Thanks very much for the tech manuals website.

Cheers Graham

Here is a photo of the one mentioned above. I have several good used units in stock if you choose to go that route.

Thanks Paul

I will keep that in mind.
I have found out that the valve was fitted to the BMW M3.
