Default Powersteering and ACE

I'm having trouble finding a cold climate powersteering fluid in my area. There is a dealership but I'd rather not go there. Is there any fluid that I can use in it's place. My ACE is a little low.

thanks!

How long has it been since both systems were flushed? If more then 20,000 miles then buy 7 quarts of standard power steering fluid and a bottle of Lucas power steering additive, then send me your number and I'll walk you thru how to change them.

You are so kind to offer but I'm not at all mechanically inclined. My husband is away with work and when he gets back i'll give him your recommendation. In the meantime should I go ahead and add some to the ace? It is just a smidge below the low mark. If i do add some what kind should I get?

Yes add enough to get it to the seam on the bottle.

The systems aren't really all that picky as to what kind of fluid. The factory service manual even states that you can use ATF temporarily in the ACE system.
