Default problem with nav unit

Hello
I have discovery 3 HSE DTV6 2005.
I have a problem with the nav unit

The screen is starting but it's not showing anything but the sentence "waiting to start download" on a white background and none of the buttons works.

I tried to disconnect the unit for few minutes but it didn't fix the problem.

I went to land rover central garage but they didn't know what the problem but they advised me is to buy a new one!!!

I'll be happy to get some help from you members.

there is an old bulletin that requires a special disc that is inserted into the nav unit and a eeprogram will work. Check with the dealer. You can also look up the bulletin on topix to instruct them to find the disc they have.
