I think I saw 1300 series u-joints on Tom Woods website.
If I'm wrong, and you really want the end cap zerk, call around to some driveline shops and find one that carries Neapco. They'll be about twice as much as the PDQ, but are the same u-joint (Neapco makes them for PDQ).

That said, there's nothing wrong with Precision. As long as you get real Precision and not the cheaper knock-off that O'Reilly also sells.

Do you mean they sell precision branded stuff that's a knock off, or that they are re-using precision's part numbers for their own crap, kind of like the autozone duralast does with the neapco stuff?

It's been about a year since I looked at one, but it was a non-precision box with precision PN.

Tom Woods doesnt sell 1300 series UJ's. Just for pricing, i did price a new front CV shaft from them with 1310 series UJ's...Around 390 for the setup. Thats enticing, but I think for the time being, the smarter option for me is to go ahead with the rebuild and try and find some 1300 UJ's I am pleased with.

It sounds like the easiest way without eyeballing the UJ's themselves to determine wheterh Precision or not is price.. The knock-off version seem to be much cheaper, whereas Precision seem to be as you all have mentioned in the $20-25 range if I remember correctly..

hmmm...

Oh how nice it would be to have a new Woods DS. hah..

ok... let me think a bit more in the future. The Disco has a 2" spacer lift with older OME shocks installed and stock springs. I know I am wanting to change this setup out, although I havent decided on if I want to bump up to the 3". If given that fact, would I be looking at some drive shaft length issues with the increase in angle? I dont want to rebuild all this, spend the nice chunk of cash on a good suspension setup, then find out I am short on compression or extension driveshaft length or angle.

Oh, one last thought... I am not set on Neapco. I dont have the experience to be set on anything at this point. Honestly, I am taking all of the recommendations of you guys and the board since there is a LOT more experience with you guys on what UJ's seem to be functioning best with the Disco setup and functionality.
So, if Neapco is out the window, then I am just fine with that..

----on a side note, thanks Tom (and the rest of the board) for staying on top of this.. you have already provided with some great info and much needed advice

The MasterPro (I couldn't remember the name) says "Made in China" on them. FWIW

Thats exactly what I assumed Tom. Per your previous post that mentioned the Precision part AND the China made part, I had a feeling this was the exact part you referenced. Just posted for a visual and name brand knowledge for others

I am rebuilding my front drive shaft based on the instructions here. After disassembling the double-UJ I noticed some deterioration on the rubber bushing that is attached to the shaft. Any ideas on what the replacement part is for this?
