hello, i'm a new member and don't own a LR.........yet. i found a 97 discovery on craigslist for $1200/obo and it had a new engine put in back in 11/07, but needs a new fuel pump installed (or so he says). he's already purchased the pump so i would replace it myself. now, my question is, i've read that besides the pump going bad could it possibly be a relay issue, AND are there any things to check for (through process of elimination) to determine and conclude that it is only the pump? thanks in advance for your input or any addtl. input that can be offered and i hope to soon be having a blast in the LR.

The fuel pump takes about 45 mins to put in.
I would say THERE is more wrong than a fuel pump.

What exactly is the truck doing, any codes, what have you checked so far?
