Default rear door won't UN-LOCK

OUCH! My rear door stopped opening...all the other doors lock and un-lock, no problem...outta the blue, the rear stopped...haven't checked any fuses yet...but, seems unlikely as the other doors work...any thoughts, suggestions, insights, outsights, over-sights, under-sights...would be not only appreciated, but...hopefully helpful!
Thanks!

Rear door or tail door? From what I gather, it is locked and will not unlock from the fob or the switch on the dash, correct? Sounds like the lock actuator has failed. It should unlock if the interior handle for that door is pulled even if the lock actuator has failed. If it is the tail door stuck shut even when unlocked, remove the LR emblem from the exterior handle area and soak the lever down with PB Blaster then manipulate the exterior handle.

if your talking about the tailgate, you can try popping off the green land rover oval and spray the inside of the lock mech. down with pbblaster.
a couple screw driver wiggling the linkage you might be able to open it.

Thanks for the HELP! I'm working long hours and this is an extra fly in my already over crowded ointment!...
In the name of clarity, let me start off by saying someone "moved" this here, because simply putting it in the D2 forum wasn't clear enough...So, for all others, now that this is in GT, it's a 2K D2...And, by REAR, I do mean REAR! not side, not passenger, but the door on the rear of the rig!Hope that's straightens things out!LOL!!! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Thanks again!

Actually I moved it here since you put a random post on a completely unrelated thread and I was trying to help you out. You didn't even start the thread I did that for you to attempt to get you help on the topic.

I don't appreciate the attitude in this thread or the pm. In the future I won't help you get info you need

Default Whoops

Hey, belated Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Thanks for the tips on opening my "REAR" door...not to be confused with the rear passenger doors...In any case, just as I was contemplating prying off the Rover badge, I gave the handle a pull and ...it opened, now, works fine!!!Go figure! Hey, THANKS again!

Try thumping the door lock area whilst you work the key or remote. If this doesn't work you have to take the trim and door plate off with the door locked. That's not going to be fun.

Twice now I have pried off the Land Rover emblem and lubed things up to get the door opened. Worked great both times! Not sure why I had to do a second treatment, first time I used a penetrating oil, second time was with WD40 with silicone. Guess I gotta keep the wife off those gravel roads or something...
