My Disco '96.. rearview mirror... has been down has been down(liquid in the glass thing..)..for about 5 years now.. [sm=smiley19.gif]....right after the warranty expired...was this pre-planned..??[:@]... anyway... is there anyway to get a replacement...without paying $370.00...[sm=rant.gif]..at the stealer..??...

Does anybody know who the manufacturer of the rearview mirror...?? I was just wondering...if they know that their product failed..... way before they expect it to....[&:]...maybe they can do something about it..??
..So far..the $$.. for the repairs i had to shell out..was not that much??...like coolant leak at intake man. gasket..and cooling system plug-up...had to repair radiator.. all the other minor stuff i can do myself... but the major problem I have now is the coolant leak inside the heayer core..!!!.. Did anybody have this problem yet..?? let me know what you did..??.. the qoute i got just for the labor is around $1200.00.. OUCH...!!.[:@]

I don't know who made the mirrors but I saw the same mirror in a 1998 Acura, it was bad also.
As far as I know all the mirrors have failed .
I'm looking in to swapping the base of my old mirror to a regular (not auto)mirror for next time.
