Default Removing Radio

Hello all-

2003 Discovery SE7

My stereo is fried (says wait relentlessy and will not accept a code) so I bought a refurbed unit online, but I am having difficulty removing the old one from the dash. I tried stopping by a circuit city today and they had no luck as well. Also cant find the exact slotted din keys anywhere. Any help would be appreciated in getting this thing out!

thanks!

Default RE: Removing Radio

thanks for the reply. it is an alpine with the 6 disc cd changer.
i should say that i am happy to report that i was able to remove it without issue. Solution: I used two of my wife's flat metal barrettes(about 3 inches long), bent them so they were totally flat (about 6 or so inhes long), stuck in the holes until i heard them engage the the clasps on the inside and pulled it out (using the tape deck as handle). there was no need to sribe a hook into the ends. it also turned out that the radio was fine (it had just been replaced), so I was trying in vain to activate with the wrong code.

thanks again for your response.

Hi
I have a slight problem here
i could hear some rumbling noise in my freelander 1998 so I lifted the car on the jack
with all four wheels in the air i got it upto sixty kmph
after the test i figured out that it was just the rear tyres making as they were lumpy and not the wheel bearing or the diff
but at end i realised that as i had my car running off ground for a long time the alarms HDC, TC, ABS have come on and stay on all the time
I'd appreciate if you could tell me if there is a reset switch or something that would fix the problem
I do have a manual on cd if you could let me know the solution of this with a page number on the manual that be great too

Thanks
Johny
