Default Replaced xyz neutral switch

Hello,

I recently had the xyz switch replaced on my Discovery ll because of flashing lights on the shifter/dash etc. It runs fine now but as we were driving it bucked and jerked for about 2 seconds. Check engine light flashed too. We have always maintained this vehicle. Any ideas as to what could be up?

Flashing Check Engine light is almost always a misfire.

When is the last time a tune up was done? What plugs/ wires were used?

Al, you'll get more responses if you post in the Discovery Series II forum.

That said it's important to get the codes read that are causing the check engine light to appear. Otherwise you're just guessing. For misfires it's more often a problem with the ignition wires or the spark plugs than a failure of one of the coils.
