I have a 95 disco with the ignition module not attached to the distributor, the only replacement distributor that I found and purchased has a ignition module attached to the side of the distributor.My questions is can l remove the new ignition module and wire into the original ignition module that is next to the coil

 

On newer Dizzy's the amplifier mounted to the side is usually a dummy and then the actual amplifier is mounted remotely by the coil on a bracket.
