RH Parking/Signal light remains on
I have a 1996 Range Rover 4.0. The RH Blinker/Parking light stays on all the time. This problem occured last night. it has 77K miles on it and so far this is the only problem. I tried replacing the bulb and nothing. I also cleaned some of the ground connections. While working on the car, I noticed the doors would lock on their own after 15-20 secs with the doors open. Any assistance would be helpful.

As for the doors locking by them selves, is this something new?
You might want to try and reset your alarm system by locking and unlocking the drivers door slowly with a key, 3 times. May also be the problem.

When using the signals, they all work except for the RH. The RH just remains on all the time. I thought ground problem, but at this point I'm not sure. Any suggestions? As for the alarm, I'll try to reset.
I've seen this problem once before, but the root cause is not something you are gonna want to hear. It was a bad BECM (Body electronic control module) and the cost of the part and re-programming is crazy (like $1500). This P38 Range Rover had the same RF light staying on all the time. The owner elected to just pull the bulb and live with it.

I haven't heard of this little quirk before, OH WELL, live and learn.

I wouldn't mess with trying to "out-think" the BECM. It is a very complex logic and distribution unit that completely controls switching of signals and current throughout the vehicle. It is packed with fuses, relays, transistors, and microprocessors You mess with sending current to places unintended and you risk losing other functionality in your RR.
If you still want to "give it a go" then see this link for what you are up against: http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdet...ecm/index.html
