Truck has 120000. Recently installed new retaining ring for fuel pump, the original had rusted and fell apart. Replaced exhaust. Now have rough acceleration and a squeak coming from underneath. Thought the fuel pump was making the noise, so installed a new one and cleaned the tank. Dirt had got in while the fuel pump was loose with the broken retainer. Still accelerates rough and still have squeak. Am going to disconnect exhaust and see if condition goes away. Thought being that maybe there's a restriction in the new exhaust. Was running great before this. Could there be air in the fuel lines? Also put on new fuel filter, but can dirt large enough to plug an injector get by the filter? Will try some seaform injector cleaner. Any ideas,the squeaking correlates with accelerating miss. Thanks John northern MI
