series 2- transmission issues
Hi there,
Thank you to anyone who responds in an effort to help.
the old girl is my pride and joy- ive always wanted one and only just acquired one.
Issue
I have removed all the floor panels so i can see what is occurring and to solve the problem as to why I have no transmission to rear axle.
I have some basic car knowledge- but unfortunately I am perplexed.
I can select all gears, I can see that when i release the clutch the drive shafts to both and the front and rear axles turn. there are no sheared bolts on the drive couplings However the rear wheels do not turn.- the car basically does not move.
I have repeated the test selecting low and high range- but still no foreard motion .
once again thank you to anyone who can assist

If the prop shaft turns but no wheel movement, it's probably a broken axle shaft (a common failure, most Series owners carry a spare). It could also be a broken differential but the first check would be the axles. You can download service manuals here that will show you how to do the checking and repairs.
