Default service engine light-

SE light came on tonight while pulling a mild incline. Pulled P1172 and P1175 codes from the OBD. Doesn't seem to run any differently, but I did notice a slight hesitation right before the light came on. Any thoughts? Vehicle is a 2000 Disco II with 66,000 miles. Thanks for your replies

ORIGINAL: a friend

Both of those codes indicate the engine is running too rich, and the injectors connot make up for it.

2 Likely candidates would be leaking injectors, or the MAF. Both are very possible.
hope this helps for now while I do more research

P1175 Lambda control adaption fault bank 2.

P1172 System Too Rich, Bank A & Bank B

claening the MAF sensor might help it out, use electrical contact cleaner and be careful, the MAF sensor is delicate.

will try cleaning the MAF, that would make sense since I recently installed a K&N air filter, maybe some oil buildup? Thanks for the help!

My crystal ball says that perhaps you did not get the air filter lid on correctly. No worries, the Factory does the the same thing.

Oil type air filters and MAF sensors do not mix.
Its only a matter of time until you get a CEL.
