Default Service Engine Light

Has any one out there had their "Service Engine Light" come on and stay lit for a while and then go off?

On my 2004 Disco II, it's bin on for several hours, on different days and in different driving conditions. Then it goes off.

One day at start-up, the engine was running rough and the light was on. While I didn't run it for long at this time - just moved off driveway. The next day I drove it and the light was off.

I've checked all of my fluids. They are full.

Any ideas???????

Not on disco, so prolly no help, but I had exact same issues on a work truck. It would usually go off after a kill and restart. No codes. I changed fuel filter and problem went away. Doubt it's your fuel filter, but……maybe fuel related.
