Default Shifting & Low Speed Questions

Hi, i have some general question to low gearing of my Defender.
I have no docu (TD4) but on shielt it says 0-5mph max speed to shift to and back from low speed but not max speed.
What gears on main gearbox i can use it with and how fast can i drive?
Is there something to watch for? Is it not recommended to use? Would it be ok (aside from higher noise) to drive mostly on low gearing?

Are you talking about when to use low range?

If you can shift into low range without moving, you are better off in that you will have less chance of blowing a gear.
High to low is hard on the gear, shifting out of low back into high is eaqsy and will cause less damage.
As for what speed you can go, go drive it, off road and watch you tach, you'll see what works for you.

thank you. i tried it today and it seems to be really too low to use it often, but shifting at zero speed is mostly not possible, just move it a little and it all falls in.
