I have owned my truck for about a year (I bought it from the dealer with abt 4K miles), about a month after I got it, the engine had problems starting intermittently, now it seems to do it everytime I drive a little distance and let the car sit outside for an hour or so. It rolls over for about 10 seconds before starting and then revs really high. It has been in the shop 5 times for this issue and each time they think they have fixed it, since it under warranty, but they cannot find the problem, I was really hoping someone else had the same issue and got it fixed, any advice??? It is really embarrasing to start, because it sounds like it is going to die.

 

Contact the service manager, ask him when the factory rep is going to be in the shop and make an appointment to meet with him in the shop and have them recheck it.

I also have the exact problem with my disco96 with one noticable difference -a distinct smell of gas from tail pipe.she rides out very strong and all but at stop lights (idling),there's a bit of rough idling.I was thinking fuel pump/pressure regulator but with the gas smell i almost think its an injecture prob.*ive just recently bought her about two weeks ago. IS THIS FAMILIAR TO ANYONE? greatly appreciate any help[8D]

 

Depending on what state you live in and it's laws, you may want to consider the Lemon Law.
