steering rack ajustment range04
Hi I have a terrible noise in the steering when the wheels hit pot holes, I checked all the mechanism and the problem is that the steering rack has an excessive axial and radial clearance (0.5") causing the noise and the play in the steering wheel, the remedy is to replace the steering rack ( expensive )
Does somebody experience adjusting the big poke screw that is sealed in the steering rack? In other brands this is possible.
Thanks a million folks

get it diagnosed, you are so far from the problem its not funny. What are gonna do tighten it up like a bra: geez since you have no idea of how to diagnose a noise I assume you are an engineer. Spend the money and get it diagnosed before you damage anything else.
