Default Sunroof problems

Recent proud owner of a 2003 Land Rover Discovery II.

My rear sunroof will not open. I have checked the fuses with no luck. I do not have an owner's manual. When you push the rear sunroof button, there is no motor running. Is there another fuse, besides the one under the steering wheel for the sunroof?

Hoping it's something simple I can fix without taking to shop.

It will take a little testing, do you have power to the rear roof? I believe you have a relay and I also believe the sun roofs are controled thru a ECU. Of course it could be a locked up motor.
Wish I could be more help.

I have checked the sunroof again and it does not seem to have have any power, or at least I can not hear the motor coming on at all. I was reading on another reply and it said the sunroof motors were behind the glovebox, is that true. I do not want to start taking the Rover apart until I know what I am looking for.

Also, I am sorry but I am not too educated on the car talk, the ECU, are you meaning the Electric Control Unit? Where would that be?

Thanks for all your help.

The motors are not behind the glove box, they are located at the sun roofs.
If you are unable to verify power to the motor with a probe I would suggest you get it to a shop that is justed to repairing them. You are looking at either a fuse, a relay, a switch, a bad motor or an BECU that is causing the problem.
