Hi,

After replacing my engine - at a cost of Ģ3,000 on my 2006 LR Freelander TD4 2.0 Automatic 1 month after the warranty expired - I am now losing power at around 60-70mph and getting the engine warning light appear.

When I have taken this into a mechanic he is getting the fault code P1470 appear but cannot relate it to a part or problem. It just says Breather valve.

It also puffs out whiteish smoke when I pull away fast from a standing start.

His general diagnostic is that the turbo is on its way out!

There is also a strong smell of gas coming from the engine into the car! May be related or may not??

I have put a fuel flush cleaner through it to no avail.

Hope someone can help??
