Is there a way to tell if a LR is certified?
I am looking to buy a Land Rover from a non-Land Rover dealer. When I reviewed the carfax I noted that the car was originally listed for sale as a "Land Rover certified" vehicle.
It looks like it was a one owner and when traded it was certified and then it was sent to auction where it was purchased by a non-land rover dealer.
Is there some place I can run the VIN to see if it is certified? I can't see many Land Rover dealers being willing to run VINs for other dealers.

If its "certified", then it will have an extended warranty on it that any dealer can access.
Instead of telling them you are buying it from another dealer, just give them the VIN and tell them you don't remember when your extended warranty expires. They will tell you if you are still covered or not.
