Default thermostat sticking

I changed fan clutch and water pump last week.
now my 2 month old stat is sticking closed. I caught it several times before it got to hot (about 215 tops) kill it and check and squeeze hoses....try again after it cools and its back to 188
my question is why?
just because it was removed??some kind of crazy rule, with these plastic tstats that I don't know about?
i just got a lemon?
anyone had a stat sticking after it was removed?
only asking for insight so as not to have problem again, if avoidable...i've got better uses for $70

originally, I thought it was a clog. I didn't think it was stat...so I flushed system again...what a waste..for the 4th time in a week$$$$$$
thanks

Get it replaced under warranty, if it isn't a 180 degree, switch to that.

It's quite unusual to get a new duff stat Dusty but I suppose it happens from time to time. They are usually percentage tested by whoever manufactures them. Sounds like it needs a return under parts warranty.

If your new stat was a motobad, you'll want the real Rover one and Rover's North sells them as do some others. You could also need to bleed out the air in the system.

Thanks for the advise. It is an RN 180, that is my reason for being suspicious of the situation. Could be something I am not catching. I will know tomorrow.
