Hi forum! I did a quick search here and YouTube but I can’t find anything about the throttle body getting stuck in the closed position. I am putting the throttle cables back on after doing the valve covers but I can’t open the throttle plate wide open to feed the cables back onto the throttle lever. There is a back plate that they hit and I cant seem to move it/get it out of the way.
am I missing something obvious? Is it a security feature? The throttle body was loose and being moved around lots while I fought with intake plenum and valve covers.
anyone experience this?
thanks in advance folks Bonk

Reason: Details
Looks like a D2, and you should be able to grab the part the cables sit in and rotate it in order to get the cables for throttle and cruise control back in their slots.
The part won’t rotate more than 2 or 3mm. On tear down I was able to rotate the housing the cables sit in all the way wide open to remove the cables but the part bumps into a stopping plate.
