I've got a 01 Freelander, having a tough time shifting into 1st and reverse, pushing the clutch all the way into the floor and still have to force it. Is it a low fluid or a clutch problem???
I appologize if this is simple, I'm still a weekend warrior with my head up my **** (I don't have enough time or cash to kickass yet).
Any help would be great, we are planning a 7 day trip to the northern part of Western Ausralia.
Thanks,
George

Why don't you check the fluid level first? but more likely it is the hydarulic clutch assembly. The whole hydraulic line, slave and master come as a kit from Land Rover. It is a common problem with freelanders. Australian $750, find yourself an independent land rover specialty mechanic to take a look
