Default Turn off Seat Belt Alert

I have a 2009 LR2. Is there any way to turn off the seat belt buckled alert for the passenger seat or perhaps increase the amount of weight that causes it to think someone is sitting there?

Too often I throw things on the seat (like my gym bag twice a week) and the car beeps at me because the seat belt isn't buckled in. The weight that causes this is very unreasonable, my gym bag cannot weigh much more than 10 pounds (if that) and it still causes this to go off.

I'm fine with this working for an actual person but it seems to be calibrated for newborns. I'd like to either change that weight or disable it completely.

IMHO that might be designed to be difficult to do, as it impacts the SRS (airbag) system.

Buckle the seatbelt and leave it buckled, problem solved.
