Ahh i've opened the air intake box on top of the engine. Its cleared out.

What i have done today is tried to put some petrol in to the air intake pipes (8 going down the engine. Put the top on with two bolts and tried to start. All the same as before and no change. So because it didnt give me any sound like its igniting in the engine i think i ruled fuel supply out???

I found the ecu under the dashboard/steering wheel. No water in sight, only dry dust on everything. Ecu name is 80505a.

The check engine light is just blinking for half a second when turning the key for ignition. No all thme times but every once and a while.

Should i test to order a new ignition cap / button and change my new but completly ****ty leads? And i have a second set of sparks. Something more i should order while i'm ordering???

What more could i try to do in mind of diagnostics and such?

Just to get it running orto get me knowing whats wrong?!

Do you have a tire pressure gauge? Preferably the round dial type?
On the fuel rail there will be what looks like a tire valve, it should have a cap on it just like a tire valve.
Put the tire pressure gauge on it and see what it reads. Should be 30-35psi.
If you do not have a tire pressure gauge then use a screwdriver and press the valve on the fuel rail and see how far fuel squirts, the farther the better.
If you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail then you need to check for spark, remove one spark plug, reattach the spark lead and lay the spark plug on the exhaust, crank the engine over, does it spark nice and strong?
If so you have spark.
As long as you have good spark and fuel pressure it should run.

Compression is tested with a special gauge attached where each spark plug is removed from. The engine is cranked, not started, and the PSI builds up to a maximum in a few revolutions. You compare all readings across the eight cylinders. On ones that are low, squirt in a tablespoon of oil into the cyclinder, and re-test. If number improves quite a bit, is most likely piston rings. If not, valves; perhaps gasket. Here in the US the auto parts stores loan these things out. Looks like this Pro-Grade Quick Engine Compression Test Kit - Universal Fit#

The PSI attained is 150 - 180, so you can't use a tyre gauge....

RAVE page attached.

What year is your truck? Is there a number on the top of the engine intake casting, like 3.9; 4.0, etc.? How many spark plugs does it have?

Do you have spark?
No need to check compression, it ran, then died, it is not a compression issue.
You have fuel pressure, so now do you have spark?
I am betting your ignition control module went bad.

I do not know how to test one, but it could be the coil is bad too.
