Hi everyone.

tonight, I leaned down to pop the hood on my daughter’s 2006 LR, Range Rover and noticed a plug that I hadn’t seen before. It was hanging into the cubby hole above the hood lever. It is white, many colors of wires attached, and looks like it should be plugged into something. There was a small black box in there of similar size to the plug. I’ll attach pics.

Does anyone know what this is or it should be plugged up?
Can’t find it in the book or online.

That is the OBD, where you plug a scanner or some type of monitoring equipment into the vehicle
