my RRC 3.5i automatic 1986 has got this thing mounted to (not in) the engine where thers is an airtube connected which is going to my LT230 transfer case( as far as i can see)

anybody knows what it is called or has a partno.?

Is it the switch for the vacuum operated CDL?

sorry i'am new in this hobby and dutch, could you explain what a CDL is/does?

It locks the transfer case to supply power to both front and rear axles somewhat equally. For use in dirt or snow, using on pavement increase stress on drive train. As an example, you would use CDL on a muddy road, or in pulling a boat up a ramp, but not in the mall parking lot.
