Default Window control switch malfunction?

Hey guys,
I am new here and hopefully can get a bit of advise from the pros. My windows are malfunctioning. As I roll down the driver side window ( automatic ) one cold morning to clear , it won't roll back up and I had to drive my 97Discoverywith the heater blasting or I'd freeze to death! But as soon as the engine got hot, everything starts to work normally again! But now, I have to wait for the truck to heat up first before the rear passenger windows would function properly! Could this be a faulty wire or maybe the window control switch that is located in between the driver and passenger seat?
Thanks for listening and hopefully some advise!
