Default Window Problems Disco I

I have a 1998 Disco I with window troubles. My driver's rear window now goes down thanks to the solder trick, but neither of my passenger windows work.

My drivers window is now control by a gremlin, as it will randomly just put itself down. Initially I was able to put the window back up after a few minutes, but now it appears to be stuck down. I can hear the regular click behind the door panel, and on occasion the ECU will making a similar set of clicks from the glove box. I think my ECU is just about done with me and needs to be replaced all together.

So, does anyone know where to find AMR1282? Ebay only seems to have one, and it may not be working. Do people keep a stash of them some place? Is there a work around? Change to crank windows? I am getting power to both driver's side windows. It really looks like just a bad signal coming from the ECU.

Thank you,
Cameron

you can try any one of the folks who recycle these trucks such as Paul Grant or Will Tillery. It may be a simple issue of broken solder joints however.

Thank you, I have the card out now again working the points. The solder I put on 3 days ago was already missing. I'm hopeful that may be my issue. I noticed too from the card coming in an out (old owner) that a number of the capacitors were pushing against each other. So I very carefully straitened them too in case there was any contact going on.

Its sitting now cooling, and I'll put it back in and give it a try.
