I have a 98 disco. Water leaks from the top and is getting my headliner wet. Is there weatherstripping out there to replace or is this a job for a glass company and glue?

 

Are you sure it is the windshield? Often the sunroof is the culprit.

 

Actually no I am not sure if is the windshield rubber. The drip starts somewhere behind the headliner and appears at the top of the windshield.
Most of the headliner is dry, just the area of the leak is damp. Also I only notice after rain and not a car wash.
Anybody know how involved removing the headliner is?

 

I also have a 98 D1 with the same issue. I thought for the longest time it was the front wind screen and had the rubber changed twice when the wind screen was replaced. It turned out to be the drain from the sunroof was the issue.

 

That sounds like another potential cause. I may hit the window with the garden hose, keeping the water far from the sunroof and see if I can isolate the problem.
where is the drain located? Did you have to remove the headliner?
My leak is located just to the right of the rear view mirror.
