I have a 1994 Discovery. Engine turns over and souds as if it is going to start, but does not. Getting good spark to the plugs (plugs are new), and also getting fuel (haven't checked pressure with a gauge, but it's pumping a lot). If any one has ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Check the fuel pressure at the injector rail.

 

And if fuel pressure OK, be sure to check fuses in under hood box, the engine computer grounds the injectors to operate, so they get 12 volts all the time when iginition is on, the switched ground from the ECU makes them squirt. Bad fuse means no fuel squirt, even if pressure good.
