Default ZF4HP22 Auto Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes.

I need to change out the transmission oil cooler pipes on a ZF4HP22 Automatic transmission as they are badly corroded. They have not failed yet, but I want to change them before they do. Having never done this before, is it simply bolt off/bolt on or should I put some kind of sealer on the threads or white plumbers tape?

No sealer required, they have o-rings on the ends. Its a bastard of a job reaching the hose on the tranny as its up high and there is FA room to turn a spanner.

Ahh, ok. Makes sense. I have not received my new pipes yet so I didn't quite know what the ends were like. Fortunately though this transmission is on my '76 Series III which is a bit of a hybrid and I have easy access to the top of the transmission. Thanks for the reply!
