If you look at the design and location of the the stock air box, you'll see it gets cooler air than a cone filter would.

Do not use any aftermarket air filter for your vehicle because it reduces the efficiency of your vehicle so always use the good quality original brand new parts. it will fit accurately.

Sorry Mr. Zender, not everyone will be making the trip to the dealer for oem filters. Plenty of great quality filters available. I have owned a lot of cars and trucks, combined for millions of miles, and I never went to the dealer for an air filter. And some of those cars and trucks were from my dad's dealership.
