Default 2008 LR2 Door Lock

The left rear door on my 2008 LR2 will not lock, either by key fob or by manually pushing inside door lock lever.
I’ve tried with door open and closed and seems something not activating inside door.
Might it be the lock actuator?
I would have expected it to at least manually lock.
Any hints or ideas before I start removing door panel?
Thanks
jim

The actuator is not separate from the door mechanism. If the actuator is bad the mechanism will not work. If the mechanism is stuck, the actuator will not work. Remove the panel.

Noted with thanks.
I see they have both keyfob and non keyfob type lock actuators on the aftermarket.
Will they both fit compatibility despite one not active by keyfob?
thx again

No idea. I would suggest you stick with the same part number that is on the car now.
