2012 LR2 Advice
Gentlemen,
I joined about a month ago and have been searching various threads on various LR models.
A 2012 LR2 HSE with 39K just came on the local market for $25K. It is black with a light grey interior. It drives solid. The 25K price seems to be lower than the NADA and KBB estimates. The Carfax shows it being maintained by the local LR dealer. I am going to call them and get them to go through their records for details of any repairs and maintenance.
I am looking to get back to an AWD vehicle. I have a Toyota T100 2WD with 207K on it. It still runs great but I am ready for something newer although I do hate to get rid of it.
Is this a good deal? Any specific questions to ask the LR dealer?
Thanks in advance.

That's fair. I recently bought my second LR2 (first is a 2008 with 108,000 miles and doing well) in Nashville for about that price: 2011 with only 20,000 for about the same price. There are a few little things about buying used, but nothing major. Look around here for some of the issues with these, particularly the rear differential. I don't think it's common, but not unheard of. Consider buying an extended warranty.
dregill,
Thanks. After further searching, I am going to look in another direction for a vehicle. The issues with the LR2 rear differential appear to be more than I want to deal with. It is shame, it is a nice looking and great driving vehicle.
