Default 2013 lr2 7000 dollars in repair

I been hearing a noise coming from the front end of my lr2, Well the warranty expired on July 24. I maked an appointment on September 18 to have it looked at. I bring it in on the 26th. My service adviser tells me first its 3300 dollars. Then it went to 7000 dollars. Which cost me 155 dollars to find out the front diff and transfer need replacing. Well, he said he needs to talk to the service manager to determine what they could do. they review my history and see other then tires I did every thing there including wipers. I had my brakes done there all my oil changes and filters and I was last in there in July. my service adviser says I may have to pay for labor and maybe land rover will pay for parts. Now a little research and I see that these parts should not fail. also i always look under my car for any oil spots. they claim there will not be any spots due to the way land rover protects the vehicle. they wanted me to call CRC since they said it would help get my case going for a goodwill repair, then they said they would. they need to do some research first. Friday I get a call about my experience with the dealership and was told a survey was coming out soon. I told them what was going on and at this time my complaint was with land rover and I had no complaints with the dealership. the caller stated she would bring this up to several people. as of 10/02 I do not know what going to happen. they said I could driver the vehicle it will be just noisy. Hopefully I will get a goodwill repair.

Many areas have at least one independent auto repair shop that specialize in Land Rovers. I suggest you take it there to get a second opinion on the problem and repair cost. This won't necessarily help you with a goodwill/warranty repair, but at least you'll have peace of mind that the dealer diagnosed the problem correctly and the repair cost is reasonable.

thanks for responding The dealer came thru and land rover is going pay for the parts and service. I will have to pay 350 dollars for a minor item but that fine by me.
