Echo on cell phone using bluetooth in car
While talking on the phone using bluetooth with the car speakers, the person I am speaking with hears a strong echo of their voice during the call. This has happened with two different brands of Android cell phones.
Has anyone experienced the same problem and found a solution?

Make sure the microphone on your smartphone is off or that it's set to hands-free or call transfer mode. When you take a Bluetooth call, your device should trigger the car's microphone and turn off the phone's microphones. If both microphones are on, you will experience an echo.

Apparently, the Camera requires microphone access and is keeping it on after using the Camera app. I don't need the microphone for taking photos, but it makes sense for videos. However, it's not making that distinction between photos and videos and won't let me take a still photo without getting access to the microphone. This has been a complaint I found in some forums:

Well, at least I understand the problem better. I'll tinker around with the Voice Control settings.
