Default Engine fan module?

2015 LR2 - Been having issues with the fans for a while. The radiator fan runs very loud and very often (think it’s when the a/c is on). No system messages showing and don’t have a diagnostic tool. Temp gauge has never risen above normal, so no overheating issues.

Just tested the cooling module and switched the connectors, only one fan will come on at a time. Is the module bad? Should I replace it? Or are there some other things I can test before spending the money ordering a module?

What modules are you talking about and what model LR2 do you have? The US gas LR2 comes standard with a single fan assembly and one fan module. The diesel model comes with dual fans and again one fan module, with a second cable connecting to the second fan. What you are describing does not sound like an LR2. If you have dual fans you will have to replace it with a dual fan assembly. Those can be bought fairly inexpensively in the UK. Check ebay.

yep, definitely have a two fan assembly and I’m referring to the engine cooling fan module. And I’m pretty sure all 2015 model LR2s have the dual fan assembly. I’ve ordered a new module from AutoZone as both fans are operational, it just appears that one of the output terminals on the module is busted.
