Is the fuel rail sensor the same as the pressure regulator?

I see both on some sites but only the pressure regulator on others.

If we're talking about the 3.2L i6, then it has no pressure regulator.

The ECM controls the pump so as to deliver the desired pressure, as measured by the pressure sensor.

The diesel version I assume has a regulator, but I know nothing about it. When searching for parts, you need to make sure you look at the correct engine.

Please do not start new threads to continue conversations. That is confusing and annoying. Continue discussion of a subject on the original thread you started for that purpose.
