Hi everyone, Let me star by saying i have been reading the forum back and forth. The head of the engine blew up , it was running before everything started. I left it parked for a couple of days , now , won’t start, i added new ground cables to engine and chasis. Replaced the starter , like everyone else , i reset the computer, charged the battery. The new starter won’t work, i took it out tested it outside the engine. Moved the flywheel , just in case the engine was bad . Well , the 40 amp fuse of the starter was blown , twice. I’m routing the thicker + cable tomorrow to see if it’s grounded somewhere , i’m getting like 60kohm on the cable, maybe it’s routed to the alternator. It’s my first time dealing with a rover , and it’s a new kind of breed! I was a mechanic and electronics mechanic a long time ago. Also full disable like my rover. I’ll try to take it as a protect or use it to grew chickens. I’m out of ideas. Any help would be The thick red cable it the one giving like 60kohm and everytime i connect it i hear like a hummm in the front of the engine. On the corner it’s another ground cable
appreciated
The positive cable has a 150 amp fusible link. Check to see if that's blown. If so you will need to replace the entire positive cable to the starter. But you will also need to figure out what blew that massive link. Must be one heck of a short to ground somewhere if that's the case.

Hi again, well so far i got everything working right, but no fuel Went trough every fuse box, cable and added grounds. It’s starting like new but the engine won’t run. The cranky scanner i have will “ clear” the codes.. So far i don’t have any code. But the engine won’t run . So at this point i’m looking to the fuel pump may be today , i had work on thousands of cars and heavy equipment before, but it’s only after retirement that i get the most difficult one. Now i now why “rover” i think NASA put tech in this SUV too. Well it’s keeping my mind from get rusty.
Any advise on why i don’t get fuel on the injectors? I would be forever in gratitude.
I would love to have this SUV as a weekender for the beach or maybe mud roads. We’re i live the have a really bad rep. And a really steep price. I think it’s more …. understanding on how it works.
Disconnect both battery cables (neg first)
Wait ten minutes
Touch battery cable ends together
Wait ten
Connect battery (pos first)
Wait ten
Insert key fob (don't turn on)
Wait ten
Turn car systems on, but not the motor (with foot off brake, press and hold start button for a few seconds)
Wait ten
Start engine, drive around a bit

I am not 100% sure, but I think you can remove a cover under rear cargo area liner to get to the top of the fuel pump. You should be able to see the pump, the breather hose and the electrical connector. You should also be able to hear the pump running when you turn on the ignition.
Also, the EVAP system has two components, the filter box in the rear and the emissions purge valve near the throttle body. The fuel system on the LR2 does not have a return line. The ECM tells the pump module how much juice to send to the pump to give the engine what it requires. If you open the gas cap slowly and hear a rush of air, it could be that one or both of these are clogged and not working. It is a VERY long shot, but that might keep the fuel from getting to the engine. The purge valve near the throttle body is cheap and easy to change (I have an extra one if you need it). The filter, not so much so.
Also, check the engine breather system. It must be free from restrictions and correctly installed, or the engine may not start.
If the pump module in the rear works and sends power to the pump but you are still not getting fuel to the injector rail, you're gonna have to hunker down and drop the fuel tank. If the filter is clean, you will have to change change the pump. Unfortunately, that is a difficult task.
If it's not under the cargo liner, it maybe under the rear passenger seat bottom below the carpeting. There is an access panel there but to replace the pump in the tank I believe the physical tank must be dropped.

No, it's under the cargo liner. The fuel tank is not under the passenger seat.
