Default Front license plate

Hello folks - new to the forum.

I recently moved to a state that requires a front license plate. I'm not too jazzed about drilling holes into my front bumper...have any of you found a way to attach a front plate without drilling? Any idea if the dealership has any other methods? Thanks!

I use 3m trim tape. You can find it at most any auto parts store and it hasn't failed me in 2 years holding the 110 plate on. It's also been holding a British front plate on my DII for about 2 weeks even took it through the car wash like that. No drilling and no clean up issues, that I have found.

Here is a link to the tape I'm referring to.

If you are moving to a state in the U.S., Land Rover offers a plastic license plate bracket that conforms to the shape of the LR2 front bumper and enables you to mount your plate on it. It looks sharp and positions your plate at the proper angle. Check with the parts counter at your dealer.

You will have to drill holes to mount the bracket, but it's not a bad idea to have a front license plate in any case. If your vehicle is ever stolen, a front plate will make it easier to locate. And if you move back to a state where the front plate is not required, you can always mount a Land Rover insignia plate or novelty plate that suits you.
