Default Headlight Fuse and Relay #'s/Location

I have scoured the manual and fuse box and can't seem to figure out what the fuse number (or fuse box) or Relay # for the headlights. Currently the daytime running lights, side lamps are working but the headlights and high beams are out. I highly doubt both sides went out at the same time so I suspect a fuse but can't locate which fuse.

Help!

Yes, this is a known defect in our 2014 LR2 and I took to my Local LR Dealer and they replaced the wiring harness. I suspect the new harness fixes the current draw and we have not had a problem since.

Take a look at the fuses in the passenger compartment the top row should have a fuse for the headlights.

First check the fuse.

If the fuse is good then I recommend a hard reset.

Disconnect the battery positive and negative leads and hold them together for 30 seconds.

Charge the battery.

Reconnect the leads to the battery.

Let us know if this works

Good Luck

Just to clarify the purpose of the Hard Reset is to allow the voltage on the various modules to drop to zero.

I realize that this isn’t intuitive but the modules are fine at 0 Volts and they are fine above 11 Volts.

The modules can latch up at voltages between 1 and 10 Volts.

For my LR2 if the Voltage dips too low when starting a module will latch up and it will drain the battery over night.

if your battery is above 12.5 Volts then you can skip the charge step

good luck

Paul
