Heater Box

I was running my heater/AC when it started a really loud grinding noise. Came to find out that my "heater box" disintegrated. Replacement: $2,400. Ugh!

Do you mean the AC/Heater blower motor disintegrated? or the heater core disintegrated? either way I'm curious to see the pictures....

I gather it's the core because the motor still runs. I'm not personally doing the repair but I'll see if I can get pictures.

The service manual (which can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n0e6q5jj1l...-2010.pdf?dl=0) has a section called "Climate Control - Heater Core, Removal and Installation". The pictures are not very clear but maybe it helps.
