Also, the EVAP system has two components, the filter box in the rear and the emissions purge valve near the throttle body. The fuel system on the LR2 does not have a return line. The ECM tells the pump module how much juice to send to the pump to give the engine what it requires. If you open the gas cap slowly and hear a rush of air, it could be that one or both of these are clogged and not working. It is a VERY long shot, but that might keep the fuel from getting to the engine. The purge valve near the throttle body is cheap and easy to change (I have an extra one if you need it). The filter, not so much so.
Also, check the engine breather system. It must be free from restrictions and correctly installed, or the engine may not start.
If the pump module in the rear works and sends power to the pump but you are still not getting fuel to the injector rail, you're gonna have to hunker down and drop the fuel tank. If the filter is clean, you will have to change change the pump. Unfortunately, that is a difficult task.
Thanks , another task to try.I appreciate everything you guys doing to help me.

I just realized that if you open the gas cap, hear air rushing in, leave the cap off and the engine starts, you will know the problem is one of the evap system components, likely the purge valve.

If you're going to exorcise it, make reservations, that one they got out of that little girl in The Exorcist is still taking up the entire basement at the Carmelite Sisters convent in Cleveland. They roll him out on Halloween to scare the neighborhood kids.

Yes, but if the pump actually has to be replaced, you will have to drain the tank and drop it. If on the chance you are able to defy "natural laws and various gravity", , bravo!

Hi, i found out that while removing the air filter someone used some kind of tape to fix the plastic hose coming from the intake , and i can see more tape on the plastic intake below near the bottom of the engine. Seems like a new plastic hose is needed from the intake and the air filter. Just a new finding! yayyy. I’m so happy , i’m going to have to remove the whole air intake to get down there, i try from below but was almost impossible. A picture !!!! I wonder who was the last mechanical that worked with this?
